Gina and Christopher

This was my first time shooting a reception at KTN, which is a Korean TV station in the Atlanta area. I know that sounds a little strange, but this venue is truly beautiful and I hope to be able to shoot there again soon. Here's the reception highlights...

Mikka and Russ tie the knot!

What happens when you mix a traditional wedding, a Georgia Aquarium reception, a huge wedding party, a helicopter, and throw in a NON-traditional bride and groom? You get an incredible wedding day. Here's the highlights!

Wedding Soiree's Bridal Roadshow

I was happy to take part in the Wedding Soiree's Bridal Roadshow last month. A limo bus took 20 brides around Atlanta to visit with over 20 of Atlanta's best wedding professionals. Gail and Hester of Wedding Soiree (awesome wedding planners) kept the Bus on the go and gave brides so much to see and great ideas for their own weddings. I was able to shoot some of it and made a short video presentation. Thanks again Gail and Hester!

Wedding in the Clouds!

Even though I live in Atlanta and shoot most of my weddings here, I occasionally get called away to shoot weddings in other cities. Back in May, I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding on Lookout Mountain, near Chattanooga, TN. The bride could have picked anyone from the Chattanooga area to capture her big day, but she decided to bring me in and pay the extra travel expense to secure my services. I consider that a major compliment and a testament to the quality of my wedding videos!
The photographer, Niki, was fantastic to work with and did a great job! She snapped off some photos of me too that I want to share with you! I hope I'm able to shoot on the mountain again soon.

Aquarium Wedding!

On Independence Day, I shot my first wedding at the Georgia Aquarium and I have to tell you, it was a videographer's dream! I got so much great video and I could have stayed in there for hours on end and shot, though I can understand that the bride and groom wanted to get back to the reception party!
Anyway, here are a few stills from the video for you. What is really exciting is that I have another wedding there next month! I can't wait! :-)

Busy is Good!

Good Monday morning to you! While Mondays usually come with great loathing for most people, I look forward to them. The new week gives me another chance to realize how blessed I am to be doing what I truly love to do. The new week also gives me a good five days to:
  • edit wedding videos
  • learn new video/editing techniques
  • speak with great couples in planning their own wedding videos
This week, I'm looking forward to finishing up a 200 picture photo montage, completing a rough draft on a mini-documentary, beginning work on my next wedding video (shot in Mid April), and getting ready for this Saturday's wedding! Yeah, sometimes it makes for long days, but I wouldn't change a thing!

Happy Anniversary!

Yea! Today is CVM's second anniversary! Though I've been shooting weddings since the 80's (yeah, I'm old!!), Creative Video Moments is a young and spunky two years old today! I'm so thankful that I've gotten to meet so many great couples and fellow wedding professionals. I look forward to many more years of providing expert wedding videography!

With the budding flowers and emerging green that Springtime brings, also comes the upcoming wedding season. I've booked weddings for the next seven weekends straight! I'm so glad that I love what I do! If you're in need of wedding videography, book me EARLY! :-)

Big News!

I'm excited to report a couple of things with Creative Video Moments wedding videography. First of all, I'm in the final stages of editing my 2009 Wedding Video Showcase video. This is the video that is on my homepage. Well, it's about to get an overhaul and I like how it's looking so far. I'll post this on my blog when it's finished, and of course, you can find it on my website as well.

The other news is that I've been playing with the 3D photo montage concept and now have the capability to create this for my brides and grooms. I fell in love with this special montage back when I first saw it a year ago at last January's WEVA convention in Las Vegas. I will be working on a short demo of the 3D montage in the coming weeks and will have that for you to see as well. So many exciting things to show you!

In addition to creating all these demos, I'm also excited to talk with brides and grooms about wedding videography for their own weddings (January is the big month for bookings). Unfortunately, I've already had to turn away some couples because their wedding day has been booked already. Please don't wait too long to start looking for wedding videography. Take some time to visit AWM. Watch some of my videos online and be sure to let me know what you think!

Happy New Year!

Another year has flown by, but fortunately I've finally learned to stop being surprised at how fast the time goes. So much has happened both in my life personally and with my videography business and I'm extremely thankful to God for allowing me the opportunity to do what I love doing; wedding videography.

I have taken a little time to look back on 2008 to remember some of the wedding videography experiences I've had...

Shot a total of 36 weddings
Shot two destination weddings. One in Vail, CO and one in Gatlinburg, TN
Attended numerous videography conferences and seminars to improve my craft
Held booths at bridal shows
Started my blog
Met some great DJ's, photographers, wedding planners and other wedding professionals
Invested heavily in new equipment for a better quality video
Rearranged my office a few times and got a brand new desk

For 2009, I'm wanting to capture at least 40 weddings and hoping that a handful of them will be destination weddings. If you're getting married in Tahiti, by all means...give me a call! :-)
